''Hristo Botev''  5K Fundraiser Run/Walk is organized by the Bulgarian Education Center, Nantucket, MA

In honor of Hristo Botev, an honorable Bulgarian national poet, who sacrificed his life for Bulgaria's freedom and independence. His legacy of resilience, sacrifice and patriotism  inspires us today, even as we live far from our homeland. The ''Hristo Botev'' 5K Fundraiser Run is not just a race, but a way to honor his memory by supporting The Bulgarian Education Center on Nantucket.

Though we are far from Bulgaria, we continue his mission of preserving our culture and educating future generations. By running and raising funds today, we connect with his spirit of hope and dedication. This event serves as a reminder that, no matter the distance, we remain united in our heritage and values.

Funds will support future exchange programs, events and educational trips that allow students to experience Bulgarian traditions firsthand.
